About The Role:
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: 09:00am to 17:30pm
To coordinate the UK & Ireland planning process, provision of monthly reporting and management information, and ad-hoc project work – thereby contributing to the overall Finance. Working with key stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with senior members of the Finance team and Operational management. Delivering service excellence and ensuring that the timelines and strict key performance indicators are adhered to at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production of monthly UK, Ireland reporting, P&L and KPI reports including variances to budget, forecast and prior year. Prepare draft commentary on monthly results.
* Collation, reporting & review of monthly exceptional items & underlying trading.
* Collation, reporting & review of monthly risks & opportunities, capex, provisions and quarterly submissions to Group/Banks.
* Analysis of key sales data including contract gains/losses. Engaging with Commercial Finance teams to validate and track sales gains/losses. Ensure that projected returns are delivered in a timely manner.
* Consolidation of UK&I P&L reporting/analysis for budget/forecast.
* Production of presentation slides for budget/forecast, Board meetings and other meetings as required by UK FD.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of financial systems and support optimisation of processes with the objective of reducing reporting times.
* Introduce process and efficiency improvements for the wider accounting team. Review critical processes and identify where modelling or system led solutions can lead to effective changes that add value to the business.
* Involvement in individual or wider projects as they arise.
* Other ad-hoc duties to support FP&A manager.
* Completion of ONS returns.
* Reporting in Power BI, maintenance of data integrity and ensuring reports are insightful and accurate.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Excellent report writing, presentation and financial modelling skills.
* Proven experience of operating in a similar role and delivering high quality output to tight deadlines.
* Qualified/Part qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or data analytics qualification.
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
* Proven track record of working with senior management.
* Expert knowledge of Excel (including macros, Pivot Tables, Pivot Table Charts, Importing data from external sources, manipulating data in non-excel format and large volume data handling).
* Excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint.
* Experience with Power BI reporting would be preferred with a precise attention to detail.
* Ability to translate complex scenarios and information into efficient & accurate financial models.
* Variance analysis and forecasting experience is a necessity.
