Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Drilling and Completions Manager, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring that the company Management Systems are applied consistently to all phases of the company's drilling and well operations activities.
2. Ensuring that the planning, design and implementation phases of the project are carried out according to the requirements of the applicable policies and standards as well as any relevant regulations.
3. Managing drilling and contractor services to deliver a cost-effective performance in line with the objectives of the company Wells Policy and company HS&E Policy.
4. Delivers drilling and completion contracts, to support upcoming drilling operations, according to company's relevant CPMS.
5. In collaboration with the local leadership team, maintaining an accurate forward programme of drilling and well activities in which staffing plans and contracting strategies are based.
6. Defining the most appropriate operational and contracting strategies.
7. Define the local drilling team organisation structure for specific operations.
8. Ensure that adequate and competent personnel resources are allocated to the operation in consultation and with the support of company Management Team.
9. Ensure that well designs, programmes and amendments are in place and in compliance with company and statutory policies and standards and are controlled through the company Management of Change process.
10. Ensure that all regulatory permits are in place and that all legal requirements are complied with.
11. Review and approve all designs, programmes, well cost estimates and AFEs.
12. Ensure that the drilling team implements an effective performance management system driving a structured continuous improvement programme.
13. Encourage open communications to promote a culture of involvement and participation.
14. Liaise and interface with subsurface team and the production department operating the wells.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Degree/Masters in Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
2. Significant experience relevant to role.
3. Current IWCF (Level 4 - Combined Supervisor) Certification in Well Control.
4. Current BOSIT certification.
5. Current MIST certification.
6. Drilling Engineering Experience.
7. Offshore Drilling Supervisor Experience.
8. Drilling Superintendent Experience.
