Position Title: Student Assistant - Innovation & Research Commons: Makerspace & VR Space
Job Summary: Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily library operations in the Innovation & Research Commons (I&RC) MakerSpace and VR Space.

Essential Functions:
* Assist users with VR equipment.
* Assist with VR project development.
* Assist with 3D printing jobs submitted by users.
* Assist with 3D printing design using computer-aided design software.
* Assist with other MakerSpace projects as assigned.
* Assist in cleaning and tidying the MakerSpace.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Enrolled student at Auburn University.
* Interest in public service and delivery of quality customer service.
* Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
* Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
* Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D printing technology, VR development, computer-aided design software, or other maker technologies.
Pay Rate: $9.00/hour
Work Hours: Students will work up to 20 hours per week depending on availability during the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
