Description
We are excited to be recruiting for a newly created position of Tax Manager at Aurora Energy Research, reporting into the Group Financial Director. As the business continues to experience fast international growth, the finance team is looking for a tax generalist who can review and evaluate the international tax strategy, provide tax advice to the leadership teams, and own the overall international tax compliance across all areas of tax. Key Responsibilities
1. Ownership of the Group's international tax planning and strategy, offering support and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and Management Team on best practices and tax-efficient ways forward.
2. Support the Executive Leadership Team and Management Team on entry into new markets, evaluating the tax implications, developing strategies to minimize tax obligations, including advising on corporate structure, direct and indirect tax compliance and other considerations.
3. Responsible for corporation tax compliance, including calculation of QIPs, year-end audit queries and tasks related to tax, year-end tax computations, and timely submission of accurate corporation tax returns in all jurisdictions.
4. Own and maintain the Group's transfer pricing policy, ensuring it continues to be appropriate in line with international growth.
5. Responsible for direct taxes in all jurisdictions, including compliance, supporting the local finance teams with returns, and working with the commercial and legal teams on contracting entities and terms.
6. Oversight of employment taxes in all jurisdictions, as prepared by outsourced payroll teams.
7. Implementation and maintenance of STBV process.
8. Lead and support on R&D tax relief claims.
9. Lead on all tax regulatory changes, working with the business to ensure timely compliance with minimal disruption to trade, starting with mandatory e-invoicing laws.
10. Own the relationships with external tax advisers, ensuring we have the most effective and efficient structure in place.
What we are looking for
1. CTA qualified with at least 1 year of industry experience.
2. Experience in and advanced understanding of all taxes, direct, indirect and employment related.
3. Confident communicator, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
4. Experience of working in a fast-paced and fast-growth environment.
