Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be responsible for organising and overseeing a variety of Vital Power projects, to include:
* Delivering the full end to end service of generator installations for our customers.
* Ordering of all parts, equipment & ancillaries for project works with a focus on buying smart to maximise job margin.
* Liaise with the Project Manager, Projects Team and Group Engineering Manager to ensure project delivery is running to time.
* Liaising with the Operations Team to ensure efficient allocation of labour and resources.
* Site survey attendance for projects won to allow full program of works to be created.
* Creation & submission of project packs once jobs completed.
* Acting as the main point of contact for sites during project works, including site attendance
* Commercial focus on making projects as profitable as possible.
* To provide regular feedback to PM & GM regarding projects & profitability, highlighting any issues encountered & where attention should be paid in terms of pricing.
* Attendance at team meetings, when required, to present to the management team regarding project delivery.
* Adhering to the company's H&S and quality management standards, at all times.
* Liaise and communicate with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
* To demonstrate knowledge and experience of both mechanical and electrical skill sets.
Person Specification
Criteria - Education, Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Good level of general education
* Previous experience in similar generator services companies or within the power generation industry.
* Experience of liaising with both customers and suppliers.
* Valid CSCS/ECS card
* Ability to manage own workload and establish priorities
* Strong commercial awareness
* Experience of working effectively as part of a team as well as independently
* Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
* Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
* Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
* Willingness to undertake further training as required for professional development
* Able to liaise with customers professionally and convey information
Desirable:
* Electrically qualified
* Project management experience, preferably in the power generation industry.
* Brand-specific generator training courses
