Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Data Centres)

Role Responsibilities:
* Run large-scale projects, undertaking client-facing roles in project development, design, and coordination for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities across various building types.
* Develop and specify control applications, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services purposes.
* Conduct surveys, tests, and dilapidation reports on existing mechanical installations.
* Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
* Making day-to-day decisions on project progress and liaising with clients directly.
* Representing the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
* Ensuring engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
* Leading the coordination of engineering services and taking a holistic view in selecting and applying engineering concepts and solutions.
Requirements:
* BSc/BEng or degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND with relevant experience or equivalent.
* Working towards Chartered Eng status.
* Significant experience in specification design for multiple building types.
* Familiarity with key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
* Familiarity with BS standards/UK Regulations/Codes.
* Strong prioritization and time management skills.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Supporting project delivery in accordance with RED's Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC, and Technical Review perspective.
* Background in consulting or construction preferred.
* International working experience and understanding of global business operations.
* Adherence to ethical principles and following the Group's Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.
