About the Role Our HR Advisor is responsible for providing expert advice and support on various human resources matters across the organisation. They will act as a key point of contact for employees and management, guiding the team to ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best HR practices. Their duties typically include advising on benefits, HR systems, employee relations, performance management, recruitment and workplace policies. For more information about our benefits and why you should join learning pool, read more here: Location : Hybrid, based in the Derry office with expectation of regular attendance (2 days per week) What you will be doing Roles and responsibilities include: Act as first point of contact for queries across the benefits, HR systems, employee relations, performance management, recruitment and workplace policies. Provide advice and support on employee issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Provide guidance to facilitate the application of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices in a consistent manner Assist with recruitment processes, including job descriptions, interviewing, and selection. Process new hires, leavers and movers in the business, providing the necessary documentation and updating relevant systems to ensure accurate reporting. Support onboarding and induction programs for new employees and ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organisation. Advise managers on performance appraisals and employee development. Conducting exit interviews with leavers and analyse data/trends that emerge. Assist with HR data management, reporting, and analytics. Work closely with the Finance team to support payroll processes Support business leaders in managing change and workforce planning. Contributing to HR projects and the development of HR policies and procedures Handle sensitive employee data with discretion and confidentiality, paying attention to data privacy requirements. Who are are looking for The successful candidate will demonstrate: A proven track record: You will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role within a HR team, providing support to 100 plus employees. This will ideally be supported by the achievement of a relevant qualification/CIPD accreditation. Technical capability: You will have previous experience working with HR Information Systems (e.g. BambooHR or similar) and are extremely comfortable with using Microsoft tools and Google Suite. Communications: You will be an excellent communicator, both in writing, verbally and in person, with the ability to communicate in a way that fosters positive business relationships with colleagues and candidates. Critical thinking: You will have the ability to logically and creatively assist the Learning Pool team with business challenges. Organisational skills: You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to organise, prioritise and execute on multiple tasks, taking accountability for delivering on promises. Detail orientation: You have experience managing complex tasks and data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Delivering with others: You will have experience of dealing with a diverse group of stakeholders and be capable of working across a large multisite business to achieve the companys goals. Building relationships: You will be able to work with the wider Learning Pool team as a trusted partner, contributing to an exceptional employee experience through the provision of reliable HR support.
