We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and diligent non-teaching Pastoral Lead to support our Head of Year 8 in raising individual student performance in their assigned year groups and also provide support by monitoring the overall progress and development of our students.
This is a crucial role within our school, with most parent/carer/student contact coming through to the year offices in the first instance. This role is central to the development and wellbeing of our students and is the conduit between home and school. You will provide support and guidance to our students, as they progress through school.
The pastoral team is successfully led by our Assistant Headteacher, Inclusion and Wellbeing and we are looking to expand our pastoral offer as the school continues to grow. The primary focus will be ensuring students are able to access and attend lessons, with support and strategies employed to encourage this.
You will have good ICT skills allowing you to access emails, electronic resources and the ability to use Microsoft Office. Excellent time management and organisation skills are essential to schedule and prioritise year teamwork and maintain appropriate records. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent communication skills.
