Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity within the busy Shared Revenues Partnership for a Revenues Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Revenues and Inspection service for the Shared Revenues Partnership (SRP). Reporting directly to the Revenues Head of Service, you will ensure the day-to-day activities necessary for the efficient and effective collection of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, and Housing Benefit Overpayments are administered efficiently and accurately to agreed service standards and policies for three Local Authorities: Babergh District Council, Ipswich Borough Council, and Mid Suffolk District Council.
You should have:
* 2 A-levels, an ONC/OND, or an NVQ level 4 and/or 3 years qualitative experience.
* Previous experience in a billing/collection or recovery environment.
* In-depth knowledge of Revenues legislation and the ability to interpret it to deal with complex and contentious issues.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff in a performance-focused culture.
* Effective presentation and communication skills.
* Ability to manage tight deadlines.
* Ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office).
