Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme Teaching Personnel is seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Levenshulme. This is a full-time position available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance. Role Overview This position is an excellent opportunity for a maths graduate who is interested in working in education and supporting students in their mathematical development. The role involves assisting in the classroom, providing targeted support to students, and gaining valuable experience in a school setting. Key Responsibilities: Supporting maths teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Providing one-to-one and small group tuition to students who need additional support in maths. Helping to plan and prepare learning materials tailored to individual student needs. Assisting students in developing their problem-solving skills and boosting their confidence in maths. Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who may require additional guidance. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers. Helping to maintain a positive and focused learning environment in the classroom. Encouraging students to develop independent learning strategies and a passion for maths. Candidate Requirements: A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (2:2 or above preferred). A strong understanding of maths and the ability to explain concepts clearly. A passion for education and a desire to support young people in their learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work well as part of a team and show initiative when working independently. Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or classroom support) is beneficial but not essential.
