Location: Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire

Contract: Maternity Cover, Part-Time, 0.6 Timetable

GSL Education is working closely with a community secondary school in North Yorkshire, approximately 16 miles north of York, to appoint a part-time Food Technology Teacher. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving secondary school 3 days a week.
As the ideal Food Technology Teacher, you should have:
1. Recent experience planning and delivering theoretical and practical Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and GCSE levels.
2. The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the National Curriculum.
3. A strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
4. The ability to work with pupils of different abilities, including those with SEND.
5. Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Minimum Food Technology Teacher requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS obtained through a PGCE, School Direct, or Teach First programme.
2. A Design Technology related Degree.
3. An Enhanced DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service) registered to the update service, or the willingness to apply for a new one. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
4. The legal Right to Work in the UK, along with an up-to-date CV including a 10-year career history.
5. Reference information covering the last two years of employment. Placements will be accepted for ECTs.
