Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with additional learning needs in specialist schools in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in working with individuals who have additional learning needs (ALN) and can confidently manage challenging behaviours. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of each student. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting the classroom teacher, supporting students with their educational and personal development, and promoting positive behavioural strategies. This role may also involve providing personal care, so applicants should be comfortable and willing to carry out these tasks when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ALN. Assist in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate techniques and strategies. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective support plans. Engage students in a variety of activities that promote learning and independence. Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students under your care. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working in a similar role or with children who have additional learning needs.
