Vacancy We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable / Junior Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Bath. Candidates for this role must be willing to be flexible and contribute to the effort and innovative thinking needed to transition to a new system. This role will develop from a transactional bias to more of a management accounting role over time. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable and Expenses Entering all incoming purchase ledger invoices into the accounting system Ensure all incoming invoices are authorised for payment by the designated person Ensuring all suppliers are correctly set up in the system and exercising all necessary controls Handling all expenses processing Reconciling supplier ledgers and statements as necessary Participating in as hoc duties and project work kas needed Engaging in the annual audit process Supporting the legal cashiering function during busy periods and for holiday cover Management Accounting Calculation, reconciliation and monthly journals surrounding prepayments and accruals Journal transactions between ledgers Assistance with preparation of the schedules to the management accounts Maintenance of all lead schedules ensuring that all balance sheet items are reconciled on a monthly basis Performing first review of nominal ledgers to ensure that all transactions are correctly allocated to the appropriate code in the NL and investigating/actioning changes where necessary Ensuring all month end procedures are carried out accurately and on a timely basis Assist with preparation of budgets and explanation of variances on a monthly basis liaising with Business Service Directors as appropriate Maintain the fixed asset register Assist with various regulatory reporting Skills, Experience, and Attributes Essential previous Accounts Payable experience within a law firm Strong attention to detail Proficiency in excel Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively Experience of law firm cashiering would be preferred This is a role that would suit a recently qualified AAT who is looking for their first move from the transactional side of law firm accounting Company We’re RWK Goodman – a progressive Top 100 law firm.
