We’re seeking a highly motivated, organised, and proficient Training Specialist with a passion for learning and development. In this role, you will design and deliver high-quality training programs that equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a skilled facilitator, and a proactive advocate for employee development.

Reporting to: Operations Improvement Manager
Location: Crownhill, Milton Keynes / Hybrid Working (at least 2-3 days in the office per week)
What you’ll be doing:
Training:
* Lead interactive classroom training sessions for customer-facing employees.
* Cover essential topics, including vulnerability, complaint handling, and regulatory compliance.
* Tailor training approaches to suit different learning styles and business needs.
Compliance & Development:
* Maintain alignment with FCA Training & Competence (TC) Regime.
* Keep training materials up to date and relevant.
* Track and report on employee progress to ensure ongoing competence.
* Create and maintain a governance and control framework to evidence ‘in-role competence.
Onboarding & Coaching:
* Guide new employees through a smooth and structured onboarding process.
* Provide hands-on coaching and support to enhance knowledge and confidence.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth.
Continuous Improvement:
* Gather feedback to refine training programs and enhance effectiveness.
* Stay ahead of industry trends to keep training innovative and impactful.
* Promote company values and customer-first principles in all training initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (L&D, HR, Business, or related field preferred).
* Experience in onboarding, coaching, and mentoring new employees.
* Proven experience in delivering classroom-based training, preferably within a corporate or regulated environment.
* Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training-related technologies.
* Experience in working with cross-functional teams to support organisational learning initiatives.
* Ability to adapt training methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
* Strong record-keeping skills to accurately track training activities and employee competencies, ensuring roles meet required standards and 'in-role' competence can be evidenced.
* Previous involvement in designing, implementing, or improving training programs is a plus.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and compliance.
* Flexibility and adaptability to support various L&D activities and meet changing business needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
* Knowledge of GDPR & FCA regulations. (desirable)
