Sensata Technologies is looking for a Placement Hardware Engineer to be part of a growing team with key customers in one of our highest growth areas in the company - the Heavy Vehicle Off-Road (HVOR) business. The primary responsibility to develop and test electronic solutions with opportunities for mission-critical sensor-rich solutions that help our customers safely deliver a cleaner, more efficient, electrified and connected world. Our customers include the market leading OEMs and world’s most recognisable brands in the commercial vehicle, agriculture equipment, and construction machinery markets. This role will focus on testing electronic solutions for multiple sensing and electrification applications, systems, machines, devices and appliances offering a unique challenge in achieving optimal performance from resource constrained devices. driving exponential growth with emerging players in the electrified commercial vehicle market, leveraging our strong portfolio of e-mobility systems and solutions. General Responsibilities • Participates in the design and development of equipment processes and systems that may include data networks, communications, and display • Consults with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems • Assists with the maintenance of technical procedures, documentation and manuals • May assist technicians and technologists who provide technical support Experience / Qualifications • Studying for a university degree (i.e. Bachelors degree) • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers General Responsibilities Participates in the design and development of equipment processes and systems that may include data networks, communications, and display. Assists with the maintenance of technical procedures, documentation and manuals May assist technicians and technologists who provide technical support Desirable Criteria A university degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree in Electrinos / Software) t would be desirable that you have a background in an Automotive or fast paced technology development environment (Electric vehicle experience is preferable) Experience within commercial vehicle, off-road machinery, or automotive markets preferred. It would be desirable that you have prior knowledge of Cyber Security and Functional Safety requirements for the Automotive industry Software capabilities (within C based environment) to aid with automations and characterization testing.
