Job description
As a Stress Engineer, you will be working within the Wing Analysis Engineering Team, providing technical solutions to support Wing products.
The Broughton Plant is responsible for supplying wings for approximately half of all aircraft deliveries worldwide each year.
About the Role
As a Stress Engineer, you will be part of the Broughton Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) and collaborate closely with existing stress analysts. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting static structural analysis for both metallic and composite materials.
2. Analysing and validating metallic, composite, and hybrid structures at the component level for static strength, fatigue & damage tolerance, and producing relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable methods & sizing processes.
3. Providing stress analyses for the repair and acceptance of metallic, composite, and hybrid structures.
4. Ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures.
Skills Requirements
5. Ideally, you should have T400 concessions approval for stress.
6. Airbus is also open to candidates who do not hold an approval but possess relevant stress and/or concessions experience.
7. Experience with other aircrafts, military aircraft, or product knowledge is essential.
8. Location: Broughton or Bristol (flexibility available)
9. Contract Type: 9-month contract (potential for extension)
10. IR35 Status: Outside IR35
11. Work Arrangement: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
12. Clearance: BPSS to start
