You will help shape our students' future careers at a college that is at the heart of the Mid Sussex community. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ignite passion, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel. As our Teacher of Media Studies, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, innovative and creative teaching to students. You will require a qualifications at degree level in a related field, and a working knowledge of media courses at Levels 2 and 3. You should also hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to gain this qualification as soon as possible. Our Visual Arts and Media department has excellent dedicated facilities. We have access to a range of various cameras, tripods, microphones, and recording equipment. This is primarily based in the Visual Arts area, with the Media & Film classrooms on the floor above. We have portable LED lights and green-screen backdrop, all of which is in close proximity to the College’s brand new ‘Collaborative Room’, featuring substantial screening room facilities, and multiple Meta Quest 3 VR headsets. Both of the main Media & Film classrooms have touch-screen LCD screens with HDMI connections to dedicated Blu-Ray players for screenings. Across the department there are approximately 70 dedicated PCs, all with the most up-to-date Adobe Creative Suite installed. We also have a smaller classroom dedicated to conducting editing work.
