Full-Time Teaching Assistant (TA) in Portsmouth, Hampshire GSL Education are delighted to offer a full-time Key Stage 3/4 Teaching Assistant (TA) position at a supportive secondary school in Portsmouth. With a competitive annual pay rate of £16,500.00 to £17,500.00, this role is set to start in February, Easter 2025, or as soon as notice periods allow. Role: As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students in Key Stages 3 and 4, offering tailored support to enhance their academic and personal development. You’ll collaborate with teachers and other staff members, contributing to the school’s positive and inclusive ethos. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA) : Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional help. Assist in the preparation and delivery of lesson materials and resources. Monitor and support students' academic progress and emotional well-being. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation. Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and school leadership to meet the needs of all learners. Uphold the school's policies, including behaviour and safeguarding standards. Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA) : Experience working with secondary school-aged students (desirable but not essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting student needs. A commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. Relevant qualifications or training (preferred but not essential).
