Interim Faculty Management Accountant | Grade 7 | Leeds | Education Role | Full-time | Hybrid
At Hays, we are working exclusively with a further/higher education institution who are looking for a Faculty Management Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for this to be extended.
In this role, your key areas of focus will be:
* Manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping
* Address and resolve complex financial queries, excluding account-specific issues
* Collaborate with internal departments and the wider finance function to ensure compliance and smooth operations
* Present financial information to key stakeholders in an accessible manner
* Participate in planning processes and analysing staffing budgets to support decision-making
* Confidently manage stakeholder expectations and provide reliable financial advice
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* CIMA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent, or QBE
* Proven experience in Management Accounting
* Prior experience in further/higher education desirable
* Knowledge of financial systems and software (prior experience of using SAP desirable)
* Strong use of Excel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
