Your Role Will Include: Tailored Support: Provide one-to-one and group assistance, adapting your approach to meet individual needs and help students reach their potential. Positive Engagement: Use creative and practical strategies to encourage active participation and progress. Behavioral Support: Apply excellent de-escalation techniques and create a calm, safe learning environment for all pupils. Holistic Care: Assist with personal care needs where necessary, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a consistent, supportive approach to learning and development. What We’re Looking For: Experience or Interest in SEND: Previous experience with ASD, SLD, PMLD, or challenging behavior is ideal, but enthusiasm and a genuine interest are just as important. Resilience & Adaptability: Flexibility and a positive attitude are key in this varied and rewarding role. Strong Communication Skills: Build trust and rapport with students, colleagues, and families. Understanding of SEN Practices: Knowledge of relevant strategies, including those for the EYFS, KS1, and beyond, is a bonus Qualifications & Skills: NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is preferred. Good English and Mathematics skills are desirable. Previous experience with personal care or manual handling is advantageous, though training will be provided.
