PCP is seeking to recruit a caring, compassionate and friendly Personal Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a young man who has Autism and has recently become visually impaired.
The Personal Assistant will support with:
• Accessing the community, helping with guiding and being a chaperone (training will be provided)
• Socialisation including, support to access coffee shops and other activities such as drum lessons and potentially community learning courses.
• Improving health and wellbeing attending the gym, going for walks etc
• Relearning how to do everyday tasks, e.g shopping, basic cooking and other domestic chores.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar support role, have similar interests to those described above and have access to a vehicle for business use. An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
