Position: Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant (Long-Term)
Salary: £12-£15 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Axcis are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a school in Knowsley. This is a full-time, long-term position offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
2. Assist the classroom teacher in implementing tailored educational plans.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Monitor and track student progress and behaviour.
5. Work closely with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to support student development.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.
2. An enhanced DBS check (must be current and valid).
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
