Duties
* You will serve as a no-clinical consultant on a wide variety of WFL issues and concerns.
* You will interview, assess clients’ needs and concerns in areas that may include but are not limited to deployment, relocation, family members, life skills, personal financial management, transition assistance, and emergency preparedness/response.
* You will establish, develop, implement, monitor and coordinate programs and activities in accordance with CNIC Fleet and Family Support Program Certification Standards.
* You will gather data, compile statistics, and report information to WFL Supervisor or FFSC Site Manager for use at installation, regional, and DOD levels.
* You will develop a plan to recognize personal and vocational needs to assist clients in outlining milestones to achieve their goals.

* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of social services delivery systems and concepts, principles, and theories relating to one or more of the social or behavioral science fields to assess needs and concerns of clients and understand how social or behavioral patterns or attitudes impact and affect work and family life issues; 2) Collecting, evaluating, and disseminating information and assessing strengths, weaknesses, and needs of the serviced population in order to establish program goals, objectives, and procedures; 3) Using various computer software database, spreadsheet, word processing, and network programs such as Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Military Installations, and other FFSC databases; 4) Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact and diplomacy interacting with commands, individuals, families, military and community agencies, and FFSC staff; and 5) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
Education
Applicants must meet the Basic Requirements following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
* Behavioral or Social Science degree; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
* OR a combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
* OR four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
The Following Education May Be Substituted For Specialized Experience
Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
