Multi skilled Engineer – Aviation MRO
Based in Wokingham
Full time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £29,000-£36,000 per annum
Avia Technique, an established aviation safety specialist based in Wokingham, Berkshire is looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the in-house Engineering team. Working alongside a team of engineers, this role will be a multi-disciplined role covering a range of engineering tasks and responsibilities incorporating design (10%), build (30%) and maintenance (60%).

No shift work, no nights!
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Provide technical assistance to MRO departments with regards to test equipment.
* Consult with and provide technical and engineering support to all companies in the SK AeroSafety group.
* Work and assist to organize as part of a small team and therefore covering all projects during periods of independent working.
* Assist with training in new equipment and systems for technicians.
* Carry out fault finding of Pneumatic & Hydraulic test rigs.
* Fabricate/Assemble equipment designed by the Engineering department for the workshop i.e. test rigs, packing jigs & tools.
* Assist with creating and managing a program of preventative maintenance for all departments, including data collection, stock management & overhaul of key components.
* Implement cost-effective solutions to projects and tasks.
* Challenge existing processes/norms as well as members of staff especially in the interest of safety or integrity.
* Ability to interpret CAD drawings for building and assembly.
Person Profile:
Essential:
* Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience in an engineering role.
* Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a technical role.
* Commercially aware.
* Experience of working in a workshop.
* Good knowledge of engineering processes and principles.
* Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Desirable:
* Competency in the use of CAD software.
* Sound knowledge of oxygen systems.
