Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Advising on and drafting employment contracts to ensure legal compliance.
* Representing clients in disputes over issues like unfair dismissal, discrimination, or harassment.
* Advising on the legal process of redundancies, termination, and wrongful dismissal.
* Providing advice on employee rights, such as holiday pay, sick leave, and working hours.
* Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
* Negotiating settlements in cases of disputes or employment-related claims.
* Advising on how to handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.
* Helping businesses comply with laws when transferring employees as part of a business sale or restructuring.
The successful candidate:
* 2 years PQE in Employment law
* Experience working with employers (and executives)
* Proven success in handling tribunal claims
* Great team player with strong client skills
* Open to working across offices and supporting business growth
* Good with financial management (time recording, billing)
* Trade union experience is a plus, but not required
