SEN Teacher – Barking, East London Location: Barking, East London (short walk from Barking Riverside Station) Salary: £37,000 - £54,000 per annum Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm | Full-time | Temp-to-Perm Start Date: February 2025 Exciting SEND Teaching Opportunity in a Specialist Setting We are working with a well-regarded specialist school in Barking that provides high-quality education for students aged 4 to 16 with a range of complex needs, particularly autism spectrum conditions (ASC). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEND Teacher to join a dedicated and highly skilled team in a nurturing setting equipped with excellent facilities. The Role: You will be teaching a KS3 class of 8 pupils, supported by 3 co-educators. Pupils are primarily pre-formal, with emerging verbal communication and sensory-based learning needs. Students include both ambulant and wheelchair users, with some requiring Positive Behaviour Support Plans. The focus is on delivering a structured, inclusive, and engaging curriculum tailored to each learner's individual needs.
