Hourly pay rate:
£13 per hour
I am a 19-year-old, fun loving man with Epilepsy, special needs and sensory processing disorder, who is looking for a buddy or support worker a few times per week to hang out with me, to join in with various activities and develop my independence. My needs will require constant supervision to help me stay safe.
My seizures do affect my day-to-day life and bring me anxiety; I can sometimes appear switched off. I will need your help to manage my condition, which may involve administering emergency meds if required.
My interests include gaming, Pokemon Go, bowling, cinema and nature walks. I love animals and would like to volunteer in the future. With your help, I would also like to be able to cook a meal, buying the ingredients and coming home to cook.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Shopping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Accompany and access social and leisure activities e.g. bowling, cinema, going for walks, volunteering
Candidate qualities:

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Experience of Epilepsy and administering emergency meds would be useful, but training can be provided.
Please be aware I am vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
Full, clean UK driving license is preferred but not necessary.
