The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Test Team Leader to join our client's reputable and well-established team of nuclear specialists continuing to deliver cutting edge solutions to key UK projects.
This role has been deemed inside IR35.
Duration: 6 months+
Your Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical and engineering team leadership.
2. Complete all relevant project documentation.
3. Perform highly skilled commissioning testing on instrumentation and control apparatus as per written procedure.
4. Perform commissioning activities on control circuits, VSD's, AHU, level control devices, flow control devices, temperature control devices, and pressure control devices.
5. Supervise and carry out the correct execution of commissioning procedures for assigned instrument/electrical tasks with guidance from the Project Commissioning Engineer.
6. Read, interpret and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
7. Analyse work problems and make corrections when required to facilitate the completion of system assignments.
8. Lead the technical and quality requirements on projects.
9. Ensure project adherence to company quality processes and procedures.
10. Allocate tasks to the commissioning test team and monitor progress.
11. Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel departments.
12. Read, understand, and follow ALL safe systems of work.
13. Work closely with and support the Project Commissioning Engineer in all aspects of project technical delivery and scope management.
14. Identify project opportunities and variations.
15. Support the project commissioning team in identifying and managing risks and issues.
16. Support the project commissioning team in the project delivery strategy development and planning.
17. Provide health and safety leadership by example.
You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
1. Previous technical experience in the field of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control.
2. Previous experience in the Nuclear Industry.
3. Previous experience supervising a team of Electrical/Instrument technicians.
It's Great If You Also Have the Following
1. Undertake or manage site surveys as required.
2. Undertake or manage Toolbox talks within the team as required.
3. Develop test specifications & design testing methodology with the team.
4. Develop site work documentation with team input as necessary (risk assessment, method statement, site test documentation).
5. Develop O & M documentation with input from project team as necessary.
6. Supervise full integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT and installation & calibration testing if required.
7. Undertake or manage observations, variation and reworks.
