Referral Rotating Veterinary Care Assistant
Our hospital is seeking three Veterinary Care Assistants to support our team of vets and nurses to provide a high level of patient care. You will support our Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Cardiology and Ophthalmology disciplines where needed. The referral disciplines are fast paced areas of the hospital that strive to provide the highest level of patient care to our patients.
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be expected to assist the team in daily tasks such as helping to handle patients for blood sampling, IV placements, examinations, and imaging. You will assist with procedures such as endoscopy and shock wave therapy. You be required to help the teams with admin tasks and maintaining cleanliness within the hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your animal handling skills and veterinary care knowledge.
* Animal care qualification (Level 3 and above).
* Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital is desirable.
* Good organisational skills.
* Must be proactive and have good time management skills.
* Passion for providing a high level of patient care.
* Eager to learn new skills.
About the rota and salary
The hours for this role are Monday- Friday, shifts between 6:00am-9:00pm. There is a bank holiday rota that you will be part of that will consist of you working 1-2 bank holidays per year.
The salary for this role is up to £23,795 DOE per annum.
