Provide professional advice and expertise within the scope of service of the Pathology Support Unit. Take a leading role (but not be responsible for) in the education and training of staff; ensuring all staff are both trained and competent for the tasks they are required to perform. Take a leading role (but not be responsible for) in the maintenance/monitoring of relevant statutory and Trust Health & Safety requirements. Implement further measures as required to enhance and improve the working environment in the department. Take a leading role (but not be responsible for) in the maintenance and development of IT systems required for delivery of the Pathology Support Unit.
