My client is a multi-disciplinary building services consultancy committed to engineering better buildings through considered, contextual, and environmentally friendly design. With over 80 staff based in London, Manchester, and Qatar, they collaborate with developers, design teams, and contractors across the UK and the Middle East. Their projects span various sectors, including workplace, residential, mixed-use developments, education, sport, and leisure.
They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Health Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and managing public health engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the delivery of sustainable and innovative building solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and Management: Develop, monitor, and manage public health engineering projects, including sewage systems, water treatment plants, and waste disposal systems.
* Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and establish safety procedures for public health engineering projects.
* Collaboration: Work closely with architects, other engineers, and public health officials to address public health issues and integrate solutions into building designs.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Innovation: Research and implement new technologies to enhance public health engineering practices.
* Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders, including government officials and the public.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in public health design engineering within the building services sector.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and a strong understanding of British standards and best practices in public health engineering.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
