Job Role: Workshop Forklift Engineer Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire (accepting applications from surrounding counties) Salary: £30,000-£36,000 per annum Hours: 8:00-17:00 Monday-Friday overtime 1.5x Job Type: Full time, Permanent The package: All overtime paid at 1.5x 28 days holiday including bank holidays – increasing with service (extra day every 2 years) Ongoing commitment to training and progression Pension scheme Private Medical Insurance upon completion of 6 month probationary period A fantastic Earning Potential with scope to progress The Duties: Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on an array of forklifts. Collaborate with customers surrounding the lifting and handling products. The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered. Carrying out repairs of the equipment in the workshop and creating solutions. Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs. The Requirements: Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential) Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous) Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (advantageous) Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous) Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous) Full UK Drivers License Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
