Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Patient Safety Team within a dynamic and progressing Patient Safety team on a fixed term basis. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Trust's Patient Safety Incident Response plan. The post holder will provide leadership and support to the patient safety team. The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating thematic reviews, patient safety investigations and learning from safety events. The post holder will be highly skilled in the development of patient safety investigation reports and will be a key driver of Trust wide safety initiatives. The post holder will be proative in delivering patient safety improvement and work collabroatively with the wider trust and external partners. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will lead the day to day delivery of the Trust's patient safety incident response plan to support the delivery of safer systems of care. A large part of the role will be ensuring that learning and improvements occur from patient safety incidents with the aim of reducing future risk and helping make care safer, whilst ensuring that patients, their families, and staff are supported. The post holder will provide line management and leadership to the paitent safety team and provide patient safety expertise to the wider team.
