Location: West Wing, Somerset House, London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary range: £27,000 per annum
Working hours: 9:30am - 5:30pm Monday-Friday (with occasional evening/weekends when required)
Probationary Period: Six months, with option to extend
Overall Job Purpose
To provide administrative support to the Senior Artist Manager and CEO & Artistic Director of the Young Classical Artists Trust.
Job Overview
This position is a perfect opportunity for a bright, motivated and well-organised individual to develop a broad range of skills and thorough understanding of the classical music industry, whilst helping to support exceptional young artists at a crucial point in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting the Senior Artist Manager with the planning, administration and servicing of artist engagements, diary management and liaising with artists.
2. Liaising with venues and artists over travel, accommodation rehearsal and concert arrangements.
3. Preparing schedules for artists.
4. Liaise with promoters.
5. Assisting with travel/accommodation booking and visa applications.
6. Maintaining accurate records/information on the Overture database.
7. Assist with artist invoicing.
8. Research and compile programme notes for concerts.
9. Contracting promoters/concert venues.
10. The first point of contact for general email and telephone enquiries.
11. Co-ordinate photo shoots for artists.
12. Other general office administration.
YCAT Auditions
1. Project Management of the annual auditions process including preparation and coordination of audition application platform (Muvac).
2. Administration of applications, audition fees and references, collating information in preparation for each round of auditions.
3. Responding to all audition enquiries.
4. Preparing timetables for the semi-final and final auditions.
5. Assisting in-person with the smooth running of both semi-final and final auditions.
6. Liaising with Wigmore Hall regarding Final Auditions: artists and rehearsals, the order of programme, jury and catering arrangements.
YCAT Wigmore Hall Lunchtime Concerts
1. Assist in the administration and running of YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime Concerts.
2. Manage guest lists and tickets for YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime Concerts.
3. Liaise with venues over monthly diary publications, PRS and Tax forms.
4. Arrange details for external recording and filming of the YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime Concerts.
Other (Media/Print, working closely with Communications manager - Occasional)
1. Update information on the Website including news items, artist biographies, concert dates and auditions.
2. Circulating and archiving relevant reviews, articles and AV material.
3. Working with Development Manager to update YCAT supporters through email, newsletter etc.
4. Assist in the organisation and delivery of 21cMusician Toolkit seminars and events as required.
5. Assist with social media and promotion of 21cMusician Toolkit events when required.

11. A strong understanding of classical music, industry trends, and artist management principles is desirable.
