SEN Learning Support Practitioner (LSP)

Hours: 39 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Friday.
Salary: £24,194.62 – to be pro rata + SEN (amount dependent on experience)
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Learning Support Practitioner? Can you support our learners with SEN one-to-one and as groups in the classroom and practical workshops?
We are looking to appoint a learning support practitioner to work across all vocational areas of the College including Motor Vehicle, Construction, Hair & Beauty, ICT, Independent Living Skills and Functional Skills as well as other classroom-based study programmes and therefore, must have some experience within these areas.
KITE College is an Independent Specialist Post-16 College in Sittingbourne, providing specialist education and vocational training for young people with SEND including ASD and SEMH.

To be successful in the role we are looking for someone who can:
• Support young people aged 16-25 with learning difficulties, including ASD and SEMH, with their vocational programmes to achieve their full potential
• Provide support on a 1:1 basis, or as a group as required
• Support teaching staff in training on a range of topics and tasks relevant to the curriculum
• Provide pastoral support and care
• Help prepare and provide learning resources and equipment to deliver the curriculum
