We are recruiting for a Head of Education for a large educational organisation in Asia!

THE ROLE
1. Establish and implement an Education Strategic Development Plan that scopes and aligns education and business priorities and targets
2. Identify key education priorities for further development and improvement of education operations in Malaysia and throughout South East Asia
3. Establish and implement education policy and practice for Malaysia and South East Asia
4. Monitor each school’s (Malaysia) development and improvement plans to ensure they are aligned with the overall Education Strategic Plan for Malaysia. Provide feedback, advice and support where required.
5. Develop a programme to support, monitor and evaluate each school’s performance through school self-review processes across all operations in Malaysia and South East Asia.
6. Monitor, evaluate, provide feedback and support to schools for the effective implementation of agreed curricular
7. Advise the Regional Director on all academic matters
8. Furnish periodic updates/reports on key academic matters
9. Work closely with the Head Office in Lahore regarding progress and project deliverables
10. Ensure easy and rapid availability reliable school-related data for informed decision-making.
11. Establish positive working relationships with key government education decision-makers in Malaysia and throughout South East Asia
12. Establish standard operating procedures and practices within the Education department in Malaysia
13. Identify training needs and organize professional development of teachers and other academic staff
14. Develop and implement a school-based professional development programme that impacts positively on student outcomes
15. Streamline the examination system across region by developing a structured process/procedure
16. Monitor and further develop and improve the school libraries within the region
17. In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, design and Implement tracking mechanisms to obtain feedback from parents in order to address academic concerns at school and management levels
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate has:
18. A degree in education, educational leadership, management and administration up to Master’s level (preferred).
19. An understanding of international curricula (CIE/IPC) and play- & project-based learning
20. A minimum of 15 years of overall experience in education, of which at least 5 years as a teacher and over 8 years in education leadership and management roles
21. Intellectual, commercial and social presence to act at senior level as our educational representative in the region
22. Demonstrated leadership qualities balanced with strong interpersonal skills; genuinely able to nurture links and relationships with key players in Malaysia and South East Asia
23. An incisive grasp of business intelligence and project management, blended with a ‘self-starter’ capacity to communicate succinctly and achieve results
24. Openness, initiative, integrity and sound professional judgment
25. Adaptability
26. Research and analytical skills
27. Strong IT skills
THE PACKAGE
28. Gross monthly salary will be all-inclusive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and profile (local taxes will apply)
29. Annual Economy class tickets for self & immediate family who moves to KL with the prospective employee
30. Health insurance (inpatient and outpatient): for self and dependents
31. End of Contract Bonus, after completion of the initial 24 months contract
32. Joining and End of Contract (economy class) flight to country of origin
33. Income Tax are borne by the employee (deductible at source every month)
34. Tuition Fee Concession as per company policy
35. Up to 10 days 9 nights of hotel stay during the initial period of joining (for new joiners who are not residing in Malaysia)
[The total package ranges between £70,000 - £80,000 per annum.
CONTRACT
This is a two (02) year contract with an option to renew upon its completion.
