Job Description
The Job Mission
As a Mechanical Engineer for Cranes, you will support the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL) in managing technical aspects and ensuring contract compliance. Your expertise will ensure the proper design and implementation of cranes and heavy lifting equipment in critical projects. Key responsibilities include:
1. Issue and update technical specifications for cranes and heavy lifting equipment
2. Manage the progress of studies, including 3D modeling and design processes
3. Support the Contract Engineering Lead in resolving technical issues
4. Ensure interface management with other entities and suppliers
5. Identify impacts of modifications on the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and technical documents
6. Issue and manage lists of input and output data for activities
7. Ensure consistency and progress of deliverables
8. Monitor delivery dates for contractor-issued documents and interfaces
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Thorough knowledge of the design of cranes/heavy lifting equipment (overhead, gantry, bridge, tower, mobile or hydraulic cranes)
* Understanding of process and mechanical interfaces
* Capable of producing technical specifications
Desired Skills:
* Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous, but not essential
* Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC
