The Role
As Engineering Shift Manager, you will:
1. Be the primary point of contact for engineering on your shift, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
2. Work collaboratively with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
3. Take a hands-on approach, regularly engaging on the factory floor to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with safety standards, and lead by example.
4. Manage and support a team of engineers, fostering a proactive and problem-solving culture.
5. Work a five-week rotating shift pattern, which includes both days and nights, to ensure 24/7 operational excellence.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
6. Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within the UK food manufacturing sector.
7. A hands-on, practical approach, with the ability to think on your feet and make decisions under pressure.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships across production and engineering teams.
