Key Responsibilities As the Hygiene Manager, you will lead the hygiene function, ensuring all production and peripheral areas meet and exceed hygiene standards. You will manage day and night hygiene teams, driving efficiency and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities include long-term strategic planning, budget management, and fostering collaboration with other departments to achieve operational goals. Additionally, you will host customer audits, manage external contractors, and lead investigations to enhance microbiological performance. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards while providing training and development for your team is central to your role. Required Skills & Experience: - Proven experience managing and motivating teams in a hygiene-focused manufacturing environment. - Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation). - Familiarity with COSHH, HACCP, and BRC standards. - Experience conducting hygiene audits and using Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs). - Logical, problem-solving mindset, especially under pressure. Qualifications: Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Level 4 Food Safety for Manufacturing. Food Hygiene for Manufacturing Level 4 certification.
