Leading Lives provides high quality social care support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs across Suffolk and beyond in the home and in the community.
We are an employee owned, not-for-profit social enterprise. Any surplus we make is re-invested back into services for our customers or in the local community through our Community Benefit Fund.
Leading Lives is currently looking for a Support Worker apprentice to join and learn within our team.
Responsibilities
1. Identify and assist with access to opportunities within the local community which develop independence and inclusion.
2. Assist with daily living tasks, including intimate personal care where required.
3. Support people to manage their own finances in line with policy and procedures.
4. Communicate effectively and sensitively with customers and their families, taking into account their personal communication style.
5. In conjunction with senior staff, take day-to-day responsibility for organising and planning duties and activities.
6. Act as an ambassador for the organisation and a role model to colleagues.
7. Participate as a member of the Leading Lives team, supporting colleagues and working collaboratively to develop the service.
You will be supported to gain specialist work experience whilst achieving your professional qualification in Adult Care. We will provide training in the knowledge, skills, and values to succeed in your apprenticeship with Leading Lives. Entry Requirements
GCSE’s Maths and English Level 4 and above required.
Skills Required

Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
