To perform therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse and varied physical and psychological conditions, to determine a diagnosis and formulate and deliver an appropriate individualised treatment programme. 2. To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a specific area or ward, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a senior occupational therapist is available when required. Clinical work is regularly evaluated by a senior occupational therapist. 3. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. 4. To supervise work experience students on observational placement, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. 5. To contribute and participate in evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice and improve service delivery within each clinical area.
