Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a student to join our Menswear (Clothing) Technical team here at our Head Office in South Shields in a 12-month Student Placement. This role will be key to working alongside the Men’s Clothing Technical Team with new season developments and production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Track, chase and distribute development and production samples from 1st proto to pre-production. Support technical teams with measuring and checking samples against tech packs in preparation for fit sessions. Attend fit sessions assisting with fit model images and collating information. Update the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system with technical information, ensuring all information is clear, accurate and accessible for the team. Track and chase launch, photo and salesman samples in line with key critical path dates. Assist when required in seasonal sales launch with showroom preparation and dressing of models. Sending samples/ parcels to suppliers, warehouse, customers as needed. General admin - scanning barcodes and checking care labels, liaise with other departments and suppliers helping to answer queries and resolve any issues raised. Maintain storage spaces, workroom and clearing of samples no longer needed. Skills and Experience: A basic understanding of pattern cutting and garment construction. Effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Proactive, assertive, organised, capable of prioritising workload and able to deliver to given timelines.
