EAP WELLBEING COUNSELLOR
LOCATION: MANCHESTER OR HINCKLEY (OFFICE BASED OR HYBRID).
SALARY: £30k - 34k DOE + £3K OVERNIGHT ALLOWANCE (DEPENDANT ON SHIFTS WORKED) + FANTASTIC BENEFITS

THE ROLE
You will provide immediate emotional support and guidance to callers on the 24/7 helpline - completing clinical assessments and signposting appropriately. You will complete risk assessments and work in line with the BACP code of ethics - ensuring the highest level of service and support is provided to callers.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide an efficient and effective telephone counselling service to all callers.
2. Answer all calls within 8 seconds and clinically assess service users to determine the most appropriate type of support required.
3. Direct service users to the appropriate person and manage expectations.
4. Work with a variety of individuals and presenting issues, including those who are distressed and/or at risk.
5. Embrace a "Solution Focused Philosophy" to help a service user achieve an outcome in the shortest time possible.
6. Take accurate information and record on the company’s database.
7. Identify and manage risk in accordance with Health Assured's "Risk Guidance Policy".
8. Act as online CBT mentor.
9. Undertake training provided by Health Assured and utilize appropriate skills within calls.
10. Work to and exceed individual and team goals as per the quality framework.
11. Manage personal inbox and ensure zero inbox policy.
12. Aim to complete any outbound calls within agreed service level agreements.
13. Provide excellent customer service.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum diploma level 4 in Counselling & minimum of 150 counselling hours.
Membership of the BACP or equivalent.
Great communication and customer service skills.
High level of organisational ability; ability to multitask.
Ability to work towards deadlines and be motivated by targets.
High level of computer literacy.
Ability to work with telephony and CRM systems.
Relevant experience of working with safeguarding concerns and suicidal ideation.
