The Role:
The Auditor role requires an experienced knowledge of risk in the Asset Based Lending industry with the ability to identify key risks and make recommendations for risk-reducing actions to the operations and credit teams. While the primary responsibility will be the auditing of the existing client portfolio, there may be a requirement to undertake new business surveys when needed. The role would suit an individual looking to further develop their career in the Asset Based Lending Industry and, in the future, help develop the audit and survey function as the lending book grows.
The Responsibilities:
1. Undertake audits of client debtor facilities, identifying lending risk issues and making recommendations to the operations/credit team to help mitigate and minimize any potential bad debt.
2. Maintain high-quality service to clients as an extension of the operations team.
3. Undertake new business surveys when required and make recommendations, assisting with the structuring of new facilities alongside the sales team.
4. All activity is undertaken within the scope of overseeing the maintenance of the collateral being funded.
5. Understand the wider Bank's products and services, proactively identifying and actioning sales opportunities to best meet customer needs.
6. Adhere to the Bank's AML policies and procedures, maintaining vigilance at all times regarding the conduct of customers and debtors.
The Requirement:
1. Experience of working in an Audit role within the Asset Based Lending industry with the ability to complete Invoice Finance audits independently.
2. Strong risk management skills.
3. ABFA / UK Finance qualified to Certificate Level.
