We have a substantive service coordinator vacancy, 30 hours a week, in our integrated Heart Failure service.
The role is to provide and coordinate administration support and service coordination for the heart failure specialist nurse team, based at Newcourt House, Exeter.
Our team provides specialist care for heart failure patients during an acute admission and in the community. We are passionate about the care we provide to our patients and carers and also in supporting each other.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the administration team.
* Ensure the administration team provides a professional, comprehensive, efficient, accurate and timely service.
* Provide high-quality personal assistance to the management team, including responsible administrative support in their absence, using own initiative and working without supervision.
* Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
* Provide excellent customer care, which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.
* Ensure the professional image of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is maintained at all times.
* Provide day-to-day operational management support to the Service Lead to ensure the specialty is running effectively and efficiently.
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week, 4 days a week.
