A fantastic opportunity to join UCL’s Information Services Division (ISD) as a Senior Analyst Developer in the ERP technical team, responsible for the development and support of UCL’s HR and Finance applications.
This role is specifically based around the Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM modules: Core HR, Payroll, HRSS, Learning Management, Compensation & Benefits Management. Payroll and Core HR are the key modules you will be working with.
This is a great opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional Agile product team to design, develop and improve software that meets user needs and improves their experience. This role will be responsible for writing and maintaining clean, secure code and software configuration, adopting a test-driven approach, and ensuring software is easy for others to reuse. There may also be opportunities to refactor systems integrations with more modern interfaces as the University progresses its Cloud ambitions.
You will be working closely with EBS functional subject matter experts within the team and would be expected to liaise with wider ISD colleagues in Platforms, Database and Network domains.
About You
With a firm knowledge of the software development lifecycle, you will have experience of application software design and development, including significant knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite, preferably at any point release of R12, with specific module Payroll being an absolute essential requirement for this role.
You should have knowledge of ITIL support processes including release management, the ability to supervise other technical staff if necessary, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels. You should have the ability to work in a team, sharing relevant knowledge and experience.
Mandatory skills focus on Oracle RDBMS, including familiarity with EBS R12, Payroll, PL/SQL and SQL (high level).
