Procurement Lead – Consumables
Location: Hertfordshire / London (3 days a week) | Salary: £70,000 + Excellent Benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Lead to take charge of Consumables and Equipment procurement within a fast-paced and high-profile retail environment. This role is ideal for an experienced procurement professional who can develop and execute category strategies while leading a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for a diverse catalogue of operational products, including packaging, paper & plastic consumables, and distribution centre consumables.
2. Deliver savings targets through robust sourcing events, ensuring suppliers provide the best value while meeting operational requirements.
3. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts that drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
4. Lead and develop a team of four procurement managers, providing guidance and mentoring to enhance capability and performance.
5. Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to align category strategies with corporate objectives.
