Group Financial Controller - Mid Cornwall - £60-80,000
This is a new position where the successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to design the scope of the role. The Group Financial Controller will share the CEO's vision and help take the business to another level, with potential development to Finance Director.
The Group FC will report to the CEO and take a seat at senior management level, leading a medium-sized finance team and working closely with colleagues across 3-4 business entities. The role requires an exceptional relationship with major external stakeholders and high-value clients, balancing strategic, commercial, and day-to-day financial control of a high turnover business.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the finance team.
2. Communicate effectively across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.
3. Educate and lead non-finance staff on costing implications.
4. Develop and implement ideas to streamline and improve functions across the business.
Minimum Requirements:
We’re looking for a high-caliber, professionally qualified individual - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. Previous experience in manufacturing, fast-paced services, or a relatable industry with a sound understanding of costings and product logistics is essential. Strong systems and consolidation accounts knowledge is highly desirable.
