My very busy, well-established clients have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer
As our Electrical Engineer, you will support our Stockport site with the maintenance of all machinery and equipment under the direction of the General Manager – Fabrics.
40 hours per week – 7.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
1 hour – Unpaid Lunch Break.
Salary upto/around £40k DOE
Main Purpose of the Role:
1. To maintain all electrical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment in accordance with relevant current legislation and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly.
2. To carryout electrical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment, and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
3. To meet requirements of all departments at Crossley Road in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical and miscellaneous works.
4. To be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the Production Manager immediately.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
5. To carry out portable / fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly.
6. Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery, and other electrical equipment.
7. Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of maintenance team.
8. Ensure that all work by yourself is carried out in a safe manner, to an agreed standard and meets with current legislation.
Essential Criteria:
9. NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification.
10. Apprentice Trained (or equivalent).
11. Some basic Mechanical experience.
Desirable Criteria:
12. Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
13. BS 7671 18th
14. Electrical inspection and testing qualification.
15. PAT Testing.
