About You
We have ambitious plans to acquire a minimum of 12 new sites per annum and are looking to recruit ahighly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has experience from a Land Agency or Developer, to join our innovative and talented London and South East Division team.
You will have at least 2 years proven track record identifying and acquiring land and developmental opportunities and demonstrate skills in land acquisition negotiation, contract progression and report presentation.
The role will focus on acquisition of land across the following areas Kent, East and Mid Sussex and Surrey, your geographical knowledge of this area and its key contacts will be fundamental in your success in this role and be ready to tackle land purchasing in a new sector of the later living market with an entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic approach.
It is an exciting, challenging role that requires an organised and confident individual who is commercially aware and possesses a positive strategic approach.

Becoming our Land Buyer
The retirement sector is constantly growing and evolving to meet the needs of our customers. Working with a well-established and supportive Land team and reporting to the Divisional Land Director the post-holder will be responsible for the acquisition of sites as laid down in the land purchase programme whilst supporting the delivery of key business performance targets.
The management of internal stakeholders and external consultants will be crucial to facilitate the smooth and timely delivery of development projects until the commencement of construction.
Whilst the role will be based out of our Hatfield office, we have embraced a hybrid way of working which typically requires 1 to 2 days a week in the office, with the remainder outsourcing land and working from home.
Your Attributes
You will have:
11. 2:2-degree (or above) in: BSc (Hons) Property Development and Planning, BSc (Hons) Real Estate, BSc (Hons) Geography, or similar.
12. Site acquisition experience in commercial corporate or agency (does not need to be residential)
13. Project Management skills
14. Financial acumen, negotiation, and cost management skills
15. Technical and design development proficiency
16. Experience of managing planning applications is desirable but not essential
17. Driving is an essential part of the role - a full driver’s licence is required
